Magistrate Ruth A. Buckler received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Capital University Law School. Magistrate Buckler received her Bachelor’s Degree from Shawnee State University and she is a graduate of Portsmouth High School.

As an attorney, Mrs. Buckler has also served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Portsmouth Municipal Court and as a Mediator for Scioto, Pike, and Adams counties. Additionally, Attorney Buckler has engaged in the general practice of law.

Magistrate Buckler is married to Attorney Barry A. Buckler. Mr. and Mrs. Buckler have two sons, Logan D. Buckler and Elias T. Buckler.
